Center for Animal Health in Wauwatosa, WI is looking to add an experienced veterinarian to join our multi-doctor practice as our Medical Director.

Center for Animal Health is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, preventative, surgical, and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local board specialists when special diagnostic procedures are required. Our facility includes laser therapy, an in-house surgery suite, in-house digital x-ray capabilities, and a closely supervised hospitalization area.

Requirements:

  • Licensed WI Veterinarian (active and clear)
  • Excellent, demonstrated medical and surgical skills are essential.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, DVMs, and teammates to build a results-driven, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities / Qualifications

How you'll make an impact: 

 

  • Maintain and uphold the Core Values and Mission Statement of MVP. 
  • Diagnose, perform surgery, and treat patients.? 
  • Maintain excellent client communication.? 
  • Record all pertinent medical, client and case related information in the patient record accurately with appropriate grammar, terms, and accurate information.? 
  • Review medical records, estimates or discharge instructions with clients.? 
  • Call clients for follow up and to discuss results.? 
  • Set standards of care/protocols for medical and surgical areas. 
  • Maintain practice growth and review financial reports.? 
  • Communicate clearly and accurately through written and verbal interactions.? 
  • Work in collaboration with practice manager for administrative management.? 
  • Deal with clients in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism. 
  • Mentor team members in the training program for career advancement and personal development towards goals. 
  • Provide feedback and changes to the training program. 
  • Provide guidance to the support staff to assure that the shift flows well. 
  • Provide input to the hospital manager for?360-degree?employee performance evaluations.
