Part-Time Flexibility at our AAHA Accredited, Colonial Terrace Animal Hospital in Dubuque, IA is hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join our practice!

Colonial Terrace Animal Hospital is full-service small animal practice offering the best in medical, surgical, and customer care and has been in the community since 1972. Our clinic was almost completely remodeled adding surgical and dental suites, a seperate cat waiting area, additional exam rooms, ultrasound room, a staff room, and additional office space. These changes have allowed us to better accommodate our patients and staff, and hlep to continue to offer the high level (AAHA accredited) care our clients have come to expect over the years. 

Most importantly, we have a well-trained and well-utilized support staff. They are empowered to do everything they are trained to do, including taking radiographs, placing IV catheters, intubating, monitoring, and medicating patients. Every doctor is well-supported by minimally 2.5 technicians and assistants each day at our current 7 doctor practice! 

At Colonial Terrace, we perform a variety of routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries and dentistry. As mentioned, we are a small animal hospital who also sees a small percentage of exotics! We support everything from wellness exams to orthopedic surgeries, laser therapy, ultrasound, ophthalmology, radiology, dentals, and more! Plus, we have a surgeron that comes in when needed! We're a collaborative, FUN team that has a staff with all their own niches (ortho, advanced dentistry, ultrasound, etc.)!

Ideal qualifications:

• Urgent Care or Emergency Experience 
• Iowa Veterinary License – active and in good standing
• Team-oriented mentality that supports our collaborative, family culture
• Ideally coverage for urgent care shifts, but open to UC and GP part-time coverage! We are flexible and open to discussion on scheduling
